Why Opido?

Explore with confidence.

Travelling somewhere unfamiliar can be exciting, but it can also bring unexpected challenges. Opido is designed to give travellers and their trusted contacts a clearer connection throughout their journey.

Location Sharing

Share your location according to your preferences.

Safety Checks

Let trusted contacts know that you are safe.

SOS Alerts

Send an emergency alert when you need help.

Journey Monitoring

Keep your authorised contacts connected to your journey.

Emergency Information

Quickly access important emergency and travel information.

Transparent Access

See who has accessed your authorised information.

Your journey. Your choice.

Opido is designed around consent and transparency. You decide what information you share, who can access it and when location sharing is active.

  • You control your location sharing.
  • You choose your trusted contacts.
  • You can review access to your information.
  • Your sensitive information is protected.

For Travellers

Freedom to explore.

Plan your route, share it with the people you choose, check in with a tap and raise an SOS alert if you ever need help — so you can focus on the backwaters, hills and beaches.

For Families

Peace of mind at home.

As a trusted contact you can follow the journey your traveller chooses to share, receive safety check-ins and be notified straight away if an SOS is raised.

Low connectivity

Designed with rural Kerala and mountain routes in mind, Opido keeps your last shared location available to your contacts.

Low battery

Your trusted contacts can be informed of your last known position before your phone runs out of power.

Mobile app coming

A dedicated Opido app for iOS and Android with real-time GPS features is in development.

Phase 1 — Opido is currently being developed as a secure web platform. Real-time mobile GPS and background location features will be introduced through the dedicated Opido mobile application.

Frequently asked questions

Is Opido an emergency service?

No. Opido is a safety-support and emergency-notification platform. It does not replace official emergency services, and you should always contact local emergency services directly in a life-threatening situation.

Who can see my location?

Only the trusted contacts and authorised support you choose, and only while location sharing is active. You can review access to your information at any time.

What happens when I press SOS?

Opido begins its emergency notification workflow — alerting your trusted contacts and Opido Operations with your last shared location and emergency information.

Is there a mobile app?

Opido is currently being developed as a secure web platform. A dedicated mobile app with real-time GPS features is planned.
